Our Story
ApplyClub is a mission-driven platform that helps domestic and international students access education by removing financial barriers, as well as coaching them through every stage of the admissions process.

Founded in 2020 by Dr. Mira (Mehraein) Mokhberi, a first-generation immigrant and former international applicant herself, ApplyClub was born from personal experience, lifelong dreams, and a deep commitment to equity in education.

Having served as an Admissions Manager at the University of Southern California for almost a decade, Dr. Mira (Mehraein) Mokhberi saw firsthand how overwhelming and inequitable the admissions process can be—and created ApplyClub to bridge the gap and remove barriers on the path to fulfilling young people’s dreams of a better life. What began as MM Consulting Firm has grown into a full-scale platform called ApplyClub.

Today, ApplyClub has expanded its mission beyond admissions coaching to donor-funded scholarships. Our platform connects donors and non-profits directly with schools and students, creating life-changing opportunities. By building partnerships with nonprofits and schools and matching them together, we’re helping make higher education accessible to underserved students.

Dr. Mehraein Mokhberi, our founder, has nearly a decade of experience as an Admissions Manager at USC and was once an international student herself when she moved to the U.S. in 2013.
